About me
I am trained as a person-centred counsellor. This is a type of therapy in which you, the client, leads the process, and the focus is on empowering you to reach your full potential. It means I have faith in you, as a person, to take positive steps towards growth and change, and that I believe everybody has the capacity to do this.
I have lived in the Forest for several years, raising my children here, and have worked as a home help and companion for older folk, work which I very much enjoy, and which has fully nurtured my listening skills. I have lived a varied life, travelling from a young age and living in many different types of communities, both here and abroad, and this has given me both a broad lived experience of interpersonal relationship dynamics, and an experienced understanding of all sorts of alternative lifestyles, should that be relevant to you.
I live a creative life and enjoy making music and writing. I offer some creative interventions within the therapy room for clients who wish to explore their thoughts and feelings in this way.
